Celebrate National Sandwich Day with the Best Sandwiches in Orlando

Have you ever found a food quite as versatile as the sandwich?

You can put practically anything between two slices of bread and – voila! An easy, handheld meal you can take anywhere.

You never need an excuse to enjoy a sandwich, but if there’s any day to make a point to enjoy one, it’s National Sandwich Day on November 3.

We are lucky enough to have an array of incredible Orlando sandwiches throughout the city to help us celebrate this delicious holiday. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a hearty between-meal snack, you've got to check out our list of the best sandwiches in Orlando.

Bad As’s

When it comes to uniquely flavorful Orlando sandwiches, Bad As’s is an unbeatable find.

What began as a food truck in 2015 has grown into a brick-and-mortar restaurant near downtown Orlando in the city’s lively Milk District. Chef John Collazo plays with unique and flavorful ingredients to create sandwiches that taste unlike anything you’ve ever eaten before.

One of their most popular menu items is the Ninja with layers of crispy fried Asian pork belly, Asian slaw, cilantro, and spicy miso lime aioli. If you’re a fan of Jamaican flavors, try the Ya-Mon with jerk chicken, sweet plantains, crispy pork rinds, and bold sauces like mango jam, jalapeno pesto, and jerk lime mayo.

Seriously, their menu is jam-packed with so many delicious-sounding sandwiches that you may struggle to choose just one.

Stasio’s Italian Deli & Market

If you’re looking for authentic Italian sandwiches, pastries, and pastas, Stasio’s Italian Deli & Market must make it onto your itinerary.

Another Milk District favorite, Stasio’s serves up hot and cold Italian classics, like chicken and meatball parmigiana dripping in rich tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, and the classic combo stacked with ham, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and house Italian dressing.

Their sandwiches are packed full of traditional Italian flavors and the best quality ingredients available.

Don’t forget to finish off your lunch with a fresh, house-made cannoli or tiramisu.

Toasted

There are few sandwiches quite as universally adored as grilled cheese. Toasted is taking this ooey gooey classic to the next level with a menu of elevated grilled cheeses that will appeal to any palate.

Their bright and whimsical decor is a feast for the senses, matched only by the smell of melting cheese and griddled bread when you walk in.

Try one of their signature sandwiches like the Fig and Goat with Havarti, goat cheese, mission fig, basil and honey, or the Braised Brisket with fontina, melt-in-your-mouth braised brisket, house made BBQ sauce, and sweet tea caramelized onions.

Not in the mood for grilled cheese? Their mouthwatering burgers are sensational (and still technically sandwiches), especially when paired with crispy rosemary truffle fries. Toasted has extensive vegan and gluten free menus, too!

Earl of Sandwich

It’s important to refuel after a long day of shopping, so while you’re at Disney Springs, be sure to stop by Earl of Sandwich for a tasty grab-and-go meal.

Their extensive sandwich menu has something that will appeal to every palate, from the pickiest of eaters to flavor fanatics.

Enjoy a sandwich topped with roast beef and horseradish sauce, or piled high with stacked layers of fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil.

Earl of Sandwich bakes their artisan bread fresh every day. If you’re looking for an alternative, you can enjoy a lighter wrap or a refreshing salad.

Ray’s Deli & More

Being in Orlando 1000 miles away from New York doesn’t mean you have to give up classic New York deli flavors. Just make a trip to Ray’s Deli & More.

Their menu is full of deli must-haves like juicy Reubens, Italian hoagies, and chicken and meatball parms. You’ll be able to enjoy familiar favorites like a Cuban, Philly cheesesteak, and chopped cheese. There’s also plenty of pastrami to go around, and cold classics like sopressata and turkey.

Plus, they have a full deli counter of salads, sides, and desserts to round out your experience. It’s a great spot to pick up a few sandwiches and snacks before finding a spot to spread out and picnic.
